Michael knows the investment business from a variety of operational angles. He began his career in institutional trading, in the trenches on the floor, and then transitioned to wealth management operations at diverse institutions. In 1985, Michael served as a Floor Broker on the Pacific Stock Exchange in San Francisco, where he executed stock and bond trades for national and regional broker dealers. After more than a decade, he and a business partner formed an independent floor brokerage firm, managing all aspects of the business, including trading, billing IT and regulatory filings. In 2000, following automation of the operations of the Pacific Stock Exchange, he managed a trading desk on the Pacific Exchange options floor, executing stock and option trades for option market makers. In 2006, he moved from institutional trading to wealth management as an operations specialist at Smith Barney. When Morgan Stanley acquired Smith Barney in 2010, he moved to Wells Fargo Advisors as an Operations Supervisor in the San Francisco market hub, overseeing 10 branch offices in the Bay Area. He joined the Glasser Wealth Management Group as Operations Manager in 2014. At Optas, Michael oversees the firm’s operations and compliance. 

He enjoys traveling, walking around San Francisco, and shopping at local farmers markets. He lives in San Francisco with his husband.
